Anyone can compile a list of the necessary tasks for comprehensive senior planning; Sherri lends heart, passion, and kindness to the process, becoming a part of every family as she expertly steers them through challenging conversations and difficult decisions.
In 2017, Sherri’s husband – a prominent attorney and author – was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer at the age of 62. Fourteen chaotic, panic-stricken weeks later, he was gone. Sherri, the seasoned executive director of an assisted living community – a position that left her better prepared for seniorhood than most – found herself facing a mountain of momentous decisions and scrambling for stability in a suddenly turbulent world.
After experiencing the uncertainty and insecurity of sudden crisis, as well as the more predictable illness and loss of her elderly mother several years earlier, Sherri set out on a mission to help others avoid that turmoil. During her tenure in assisted living facilities, she’d witnessed countless families suffering the after effects of improper – or, worse, nonexistent – senior planning; determined to rectify that wrong, she established her new business on twin foundations of passion and expertise.
When Sherri’s not busy helping her “family members” ( she’s loathe to call them clients ), you’ll find her training for and running charity races, having a blast with her own active family, volunteering in her community, cooking creatively, reading or wandering Target or Trader Joes.
